I haven't really been motivated to lose since school got serious. I know I shouldn't use that as an excuse, but it isn't much of a priority right now. I figure I have a few months left then I can hit it hard and lose my flub once and for all.
A great motivator is seeing all of the amazing posts from everyone that have been working so hard and actually losing. I am living through you. For real.
I am signed up to "run" a half marathon in April. The 4th. I have not prepared at all. I will probably fall on my face halfway through, But if I have to crawl to the finish line, I will get there.
One great thing, they are allowing some of us, ah hem, slower folks... start early. Up to an hour early! Shiz balls! Hooray for me! So.. maybe, just maybe, I won't be the last one across the line.
Fist pump
I am still in major pain every day, but keep pushing myself to get through, knowing there is an end. and my bed in sight.
I downloaded a cute little app, plant nanny or something like that.. that reminds you to "water your plant" meaning yourself. I keep forgetting, and my plant dies.
I really need to work on water.
And getting ready for my 13.1.
If only I could hook my laptop and all my books up somehow so I can "run" with them.
I say "run" because turtles in quicksand are faster than me running.
There you have it.
Life in a nutshell.
Oh and as far as no soda goes.. fail. fail. fail. I made it two days. Boo.

getting back on track
Literally!
I went to the rec center last night to do something.. whatever my coughing butt would allow..
and allllll the frekin machines were FULL!
it was sooo busy last night..
weird.
maybe everyone is getting a start on the Holiday workouts to prevent the gains?
so I hit the track
it is 1/9th of a mile...
I jogged 9 times
took a drink.. checked my timer
10.15
seriously?
woot!
I hit it again
mile 3 was 30.45!
I totally rocked it!!
had to stop for a cough attack and a drink
kept going
made it to mile 5.. that was 45 times around the track!! 50.15!!!
then I had to stop.
had to catch my breath.
but I felt goooood people! seriously good!
I just jogged 5 miles!
ok. not nonstop.
but I still did it!
I had a visit with my new dr yesterday too..
she is darling!
she has the cutest lil accent. I had to ask her where she was from.
Her family is from Ireland. She grew up in Zimbabwe. Talk about awesome!
she pretty much confirmed the PCOS diagnosis. She asked if I wanted to ask my ob about it.. I said I felt more comfortable with her.. since she has all my info from forever...
she started me on Metformin and Spironolactone.
also.. cut my blood pressure meds in half!
woohoo!
so.. lets see if this helps me lose the belly fat and get back on the right track.
cuz between me and you.. I am tired of shaving my facial hair like a man!
eek.. I said that out loud huh?
now you know my secret.
Have a great day!

What a bummer and a month with no fast food?
the hubs gave me his ipod touch.. I handed mine down to my teenager..and so on..
but I had the awesome Nike+ app.. so I could use the pedometer, the workout tracker thinkabajig.. and sync it on my puter..
it was awesome!
but the new Ipod touch.. doesn't have it!
well.. it does.. but I have to buy
this..
which is around $20
I don't really mind.. but I really have to have one for the app to even start..
I wanted to go make a few playlists for running, walking, ellipticalling, stairmastering.. etc..
but it wont let me do that.. ugh!
boo!
anyone know where I can get a Nike + sensor for cheap.. free is better!
Me n the hunkaman hubs decided we would go a whole month with no fast food. none.
this may sound easy for most people. but we have all kinds of excuses for eating out.
I get busy and don't always have time to cook dinner.
I haven't had time to get to the grocery store for lunches..
I'm lazy..
etc..
after a meltdown from the youngest daughter for not buying her mcd's.. seriously.. there were tears and lots of crying..
yeah.. over food..
fast food.
crap.
we decided to be the parents.
and no fast food
for a month.
it's gonna be hard.. but worth it
to show my kids
they can be healthy
and eat yummy food at home
and I am going to be challenged to cook.
every day
ugh!
wish us luck
we'll need it!
oh..one more thing..
would it be weird to ask a fellow (yes a total stranger) gym goer.. who looks totes like she knows what she's doing.. (I'm talking bodybuilding championship trophies here) to help me out some?
think she'd freak?

Here we go
I just want to share a little bit of background about, well, me.
I used to weigh 100 pounds. Seriously.
Right after high school.
I know.
Then I got knocked up.
*applause*
I gained at least 50 pounds with this one.
Awesome I know.
Then a few years later, Still overweight me, got knocked up again. Well.. We were married, so I suppose it isn't called knocked up anymore.
I gained a few more pounds.
A few notes about me..
I have Ankylosing Spondylitis. For more info on this click here. I have mild Fibromyalgia. I am overweight. I have thyroid issues. I have headaches daily. I have high blood pressure. I am on lots of medications.
I am not letting any of this stop me from finding the skinny chick inside, clawing, fighting, and screaming her way out.
This blog is going to be embarrasing for some. I hope to find encouragement from you all. Please feel free to give advice, yays, boos, anything you wish. I am open for business! *smile*
The begining of last year (2010) I had a dr appointment. I love my Dr btw.
I weighed 214 pounds. (psst... it's invisible, but if you highlight it, it is there.)
This was a wake up call for me.
I am only 5'3 and 30ish.
That is morbidly obese according to the webosphere googly thing.
ICK!
So.. I started watching what I eat. I went on several "fad" diets. I used HCG for a bit, I did lose about 10 pounds and haven't gained it back, yay.
I did the no carb thing for a week or so.
I tried a new way of balancing carbs and proteins for a month or two and managed to lose another 10 or so.
One pound at a time, I've lost 30ish pounds. *bows*
I still have 50ish to go, so I've decided to join Weight Watchers again.
I will be updating my blog as often as I can, so please join me for the fun. (coming soon)
Let's get this party started!
