Kinda.
I have lost a few pounds. School makes it super hard to make healthy choices, but I am working on it.
Time for the gym is a struggle but I have made it there a few times. Not as much as I wish, but I will still keep going.
I did get a fitbit. got the Charge. It tracks my steps, sleep and more. Very awesome!
I have not been able to get my 10,000 steps every day though and that is sad. Guess I will have to do rounds around my house every night just to get there. Whatever works, right?
My new years resolution, as always, was to lose weight. And to stick with it. I am going to try to get my steps, my water (72 ounces a day) and the 21 day fix (on my own and vegetarian style of course).. I am going to research and plan and write everything I do down. Here.
So, there will be more posts from me, to keep me on track. I have to do it.
Just have to.

weigh in!
dunnnn dunnnn dunnnn
I am down 1.5#'s
not horrible..
a loss is a loss, right?
I had to admit, I haven't been trying all that hard this week..
I've been getting my water in.. yeah. but everything else has kind of been thrown to the back of the room..
the kidlings have been keeping this mama busy..
one forgets things so I have to run her stuff..
one started basketball so we go to her games..
not to mention theres a football game tonight.. a big one! and the girls have been working super hard practicing for half time..so mama makes them dinner and takes it to them (a couple times lol)
so needless to say.. I have been neglecting my exercise and meal planning..
next week will be better.. I have the weekend to recoup and recover and move forward.
how did you do with the challenge?
NO SNACKING BETWEEN MEALS
not really.
snacks are ok- IF- they are a fruit or veggie..

how did you do with the challenge?
I made sure I got a butt-load of water in every day.. ok. a few bladders full
ha!
so.. the challenge this week, er, next week?
will be to keep up with the water
well
because it's oooooh soo good for you
and
here's my major issue and the challenge.........
mkay
snacks are ok- IF- they are a fruit or veggie..
I have some sick obsession with chips and crackers.. and sweets.. they call to me. I need to shut them up once and for all!
my "clean eating" is back on baby!
so if you want to join in on this weeks challenge.. or any week.. add yourself to the linky bajiggy at the top ^
I am going to track every single thing I put in my body
I am going to post it.. so everyone knows what I am eating.
if that isn't motivation to eat "good stuff" IDK what is!
how embarrasing to post that I ate a cupcake or twinkie (even if I don't like em) if they are in my house.. I'll eat it!
are you ready for this???

Those damn cute jeans
A week or so ago, my Mother in Law ( totes adore her)
gave me a pair of jeans that she had bought for my niece. She said they didn't fit her and rather than take them back, she would love me to have them.
First, these jeans are adorable!
hip. huggers.
skinny. jeans.
eeeek!
but dammit, they are cute!
Size 11
which is, get this,
HALF the size I used to wear!
yup.
HALF!
I can squeeeeze into them. almost button them up.
ALMOST!
so I made a goal for myself.
no way am I giving these back. or giving them to my teenager.
they're all mine baby!
When my birthday comes, March 7th.
I WILL fit into these jeans!
no negotiations.
Every ounce of willpower and strenght I have will be summoned and used for the next 31 days.
Wednesday March 7th, I will put them on and take a pic.
That is how determined I am.
Zumba, yoga, running and everything I can get my body to do.. HERE I COME!
not to mention tracking, eating only nutritious and healthy food that is going to fuel my body..
now that I have it in writing.. let's do this!
anyone else have something they would like to make a goal and join me?
comment or email me!
it will rock!

weekly progress check in
Thank you Thursday's child for the reminder email to put my check in post up..
I am not feeling well today, so I will keep it short..
I did not lose.
in fact.. I'm pretty sure I gained..
last week was tough for watching my weight.
I seem to have forgot to eat well..
but I walked a 5k with my youngest daughter on Saturday..
that was fun..
then the hubs went to the gym with me.. so I jogged for an hour.. he walked and said it was great!
I can't wait to see him go back..
I missed some exercise and didn't track much.. but this week will be better..
since I can go grocery shopping today!
I am going to basically start over with my body for life challenge and weight watchers will be a boost too..
I signed up for Dr oz's challenge.. it is sponsored or something by weight watchers.. but there is a chance to win a million dollars! whoop! if that isn't incentive.. I don't know what is!
so.. short n sweet.. I'm gonna take a nap now..
see ya soon!
oh wait.. before I go...
see what cute things I got for my kitchen this weekend..
I also got some little ramekins...
if this doesn't want me to make healthy goodies for me and my family.. I must be nuts!

Week one down.. 11 to go!
good progress so far..
I think I did pretty well on the Body for life plan
I lost 3.6 pounds..
finally.. a loss!
woot!
I hope to lose one or two this week..not planning on a huge loss.. we'll see what happens.
I will try to post my workouts and meal plans as soon as I can..
I have my workouts all written out on index cards to take to the gym.. easy peasy..
that way I don't have to guess or try to remember what I did or need to do..
but.. a loss is a loss.. I'll take it!
this week is going to be a lil harder..
trying to get all my veggies in..
all the protein..
it's a challenge.
but I am so going to do it!
I want to win!!!!

Day one
and
it begins
day one
of
Body for Life
last night I had my super supportive hubster take "before" pics
and the good man that he is
didn't say a word
not one
word
about my side belly
or my double chins
or my donut rolls
or
anything for that matter..
he even asked that I take
"before" pics of him
"before" what? I have no clue..
he isn't a "dieter"
he's a couch sitter..
whatevs..
he's happy with his sports watching while I'm sweatin at the gym..
we make it work.
so..
I got my pics..
I got some good foods..
here's my plan for today..
Protein shake w/ fruit
orange
peach
slice of 45 cal whole wheat bread w/ nutella! mmmm I can't wait to try this stuff..
cottage cheese/ grapes
plum
protein bar
prolly a big salad for dinner..
going to start the workout plan today too..
I'm not sure how I'm going to do this since I already workout lots..
I'm not thinking of changing too much.. just focus more on what the plan says needs to be done.. I'll finally have a schedule :)
upper body is today.. which rocks.. since I did the evil leg machines at the gym Friday.. and still sore in hidden special places today..
go me!
as for the slimmer this summer challenge.. I'm still here.. still working!

going veggie, slimmer this summer, fitblogger, and plus size challenges
yup
that's me
a vegetarian
ok.. well.. one in training :)
I started Saturday..
it's been kinda easy so far.
not too many struggles..
other than wanting to cook that big ol turkey I've got in the freezer..
but.. I've done pretty well so far.
I have not even "needed" to eat anything with meat in it.
I made spaghetti last night.. and didn't even miss it.
I've stocked up on beans, tons and tons of veggies and lots of fruit to keep me happy.
I am able to stick to my Weight Watcher's plan easily and haven't felt deprived so far.
any suggestions or recipes?
I'm not big on tofu or anything weird.. just simple :)
so my goal this week.. for week 10 (seriously.. it's almost over) of fitblogger 's mytrak challenge.. is to continue with the healthy vegetarian alternative plan :)
simple as that..
I am also joining in on Debbi's Slimmer this summer challenge..
in addition to this vegetarian goal.. I am going to drink alllll my water.. and follow my WW's plan..
too much life may make it difficult to add much more right now.. I just have to take it a day at a time :)
aaaannd.. if that wasn't enough to keep me motivated..
let's join in the fun with plus size bloggers and their bye bye booties challenge..
to lose 15 pounds in 12 weeks..
did I need to remind you how competitive I am?
mmkay..
didn't think so..
not to mention the fact.. that I can't be left out lol..
so..let's get healthy!

slimmer this summer challenge
do I need to tell ya that I am a bit compulsive?
I see a challenge.. and I HAVE to be included.
I can't miss out on anything!
so.. I had to join in on this one.. partly because well.. it was there.. and mostly because I need to. and yes.. her blog name does remind me of porn every time I see it. but that's just my dirty mind.. please excuse me. :)
I need to kick my own ass into gear.
and well..
if there are a billion people watching me.. I can't quit.
right?

here's the deets..
starting Monday.. (copied from Debbi's blog cuz I'm lazy)
Here's what we're going to do in this summer challenge. We're still working on the details but this will give you an idea of how it will go.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I believe that to be successful you have to have a plan and a goal. Without it, you're just flying blind. Here's the plan.
1. Blog our goals!! Please do an initial post stating what your goals are. We have 12 weeks of this challenge. How much do you want to lose in 12 weeks? How much water or liquids do you intend to drink daily? How many workouts are you going to do? What is your exercise plan? Measurements? This way you'll have measurable goals to aim for. End goal could simply be an increased level of exercising or entering a 5K run or being able to do X number of repetitions or adding an extra hour a week. The type of exercise and level of challenge is an individual choice of each challenge participant. All the challenge asks is that you be accountable weekly to how you met your goals for calories, exercise, fluids and other personal challenge goals.
2. Tracking food and water is essential. It was the only way I have found success and if you talk with anyone else who has lost substantial weight, they would agree. Tracking and journaling is a must. I am planning to track my daily calories on my blog and encourage you to do the same. We'd love to see what you eat and share ideas! It certainly isn't manditory though.
3. I've tried different diets and have found that eating between 1200 - 1400 calories works for me. That comes to about 9800 calories per week maximum. Tracking calories keeps us aware of food labels and portioning. If you don't have a food scale, get one. They are inexpensive and essential for accurately tracking calories. Round numbers, let's keep it under 10,000 calories a week. TOPS. Water or liquids should be at 10 - 8 oz. cups a day. Good chance your body needs more than that so this is minimum! Keep hydrated!
4. Get moving! If you're already sticking to an exercise routine. Great. Keep it up and maybe see how you change it up or kick it up a notch. If you're like me and struggling to get into a routine, well then what the heck are you waiting for! Let's set some goals and plan our exercise for the next 12 weeks. Exercise should be "challenging", ie, get you to work up a sweat and get stronger. Whether you choose walking, biking, jogging, lifting weights, Pilates, CrossFit, home videos, salsa dancing, it should be for at least 20 minutes and should grow progressively more challenging as the weeks progress. If you start with 20 minutes, then increase it a bit week by week. If you are already doing an exercise regimen that works for you, then simply state your goals for how often/how long and keep accountable. We need to FIT exercise into our schedules. It's not going to happen by itself.
5. We want to lose weight, so lets stay accountable and blog weekly with results. We're not going to be the scale police but we expect results. Twelve weeks is enough time to see some awesome results from everyone. I'll put a linky up on a post on Sunday night. You can do a weekly results post over the weekend and post it to the linky on Monday morning so we can all see your progress.
6. No winners or losers. So don't quit! If you have a bad week, get over it and get back on track. That's what we're here for, to stay on track! Challengers should have fun with this. It should be "challenging", but it should not be a huge pain in the keister. Blogging and the rules are to motivate, not to burden.
7. Challengers should support other challengers. Please consider supporting via comments on blog posts.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No specific prizes but I do intend to do some giveaways at the end for those who stick with it and stay super supportive. More details on that later.
You are welcome to be in any other challenges as well. We all need as much help and encouragement as possible.
so my goal will be simple
lose weight by following my Weight Watcher's plan to the T.. I got my 10% goal, my 5k charm, my keychain and I want that damn 25# charm.. hell.. I want that 50# charm!
exercise. going back to my 2adays.. re-adding my weight routine since I've completely assed out of it.
drink water.. lots of it..100 ounces a day. not including my diet dr. peppers.
I've totally fallen off my wagon.. and I am fuggin determined to get back on.
no more breaks.
I've accomplished too much to let it all fall apart now.
no excuses.
let's do this!

unlucky me?
I feel like it today.
the unluckiest person.. evah!
not really. but life has a way of getting me down sometimes.
I am again entering the fitblogger challenge. at first I wanted to win the Mytrak. sooo bad. Ok. well I still do. and have entered every week save the two my dad passed..
But seriously.. I have been a good girl, haven't I? don't I deserve to win. something?
k..
whinefest over.
back to life.
I made it to the gym two days in a row.
Yoga then an elliptical stint.
I felt great!
Yesterday..
a 40 minute jog. Where I jogged-the-whole-time!
woot!!
fantabulous!
I am working on getting back on track this week.
I managed to gain almost three pounds back in the last two weeks.
I've given myself a break.. Weight Watcher's has given me a break.
Now.. it's time to get myself back.
a plan..
I am going to just hop back into my old routine.
my two-a-days..
a short workout during work at the gym..
then a longer more intense workout at the gym after. or.. sometimes before dinner..
I got tons of fruit and veggies.. I spent half an hour or so last night cutting them all up and getting them "grab ready"
so..
I'm prepared to do well this week.
for the most part, dad's stuff is taken care of.
The apartment is cleaned out.
just have the few little boxes of items to sort and mail.
not bad.
so..
here's to a great week!
the unluckiest person.. evah!
not really. but life has a way of getting me down sometimes.
I spent half an hour or so last night cutting them all up and getting them "grab ready"
so..
I'm prepared to do well this week.

ok seriously
first.
I did it!
I lost 15 #'s with WW's..
took 16 fuggin weeks.. but I did it..
I am 3.6 away from my 10% goal yay!
but I truly need, want, am beggin for some sort of monitoring device to keep track of me..
second..
I've been entering every week in
fitbloggers mytrak giveaway
I've been a good girl (sorta) in making sure I reach my goal every week.. which is jogging 15 miles a week..
so far I've done great.. I even did a 5k (on the treadmill) on Friday.. yay!
so.. to increase my chances of winning great stuff I'm also joining this lil cutey prior fat girl a-growing-relationship-and-a-challenge
in a two week challenge to see who can log the most miles..either walking, jogging, ellipticalling, etc..
eee!! I am so on!
because there is a chance to win a polar hrm..
uh hem..
I'm so whoring myself to win.
but
I
don't
care!
If I get in shape and have fun.. and adding to my competitive nature.. I'm in!
I'm sooo crossing my fingers that I now have two chances to win cool swag..
Have a great day!

Challenges
I am making progress on my Fitblogger challenge..
ok.. challenges...
First is the weight training challenge..
This one is awesome! There is a whole printout for the 12 weeks that you can just take with you to the gym. Yes.. I look like a total ass when I'm marking my little boxes with my reps and weight.. but I don't care. I'm rocking this!
One funny for ya..
so.. I got all bodybuilding n stuff.. I grabbed the barbell from the weight bench.. I thought.. holy shiz this is heavy.. and it's just the bar.
Oh well. I added two ten pound weights and proceeded to do some bench presses.. Whew! I managed 3 sets of 12.
wahoo!!
huffing and puffing.. a lil red faced.. I tried to do some curls.
Big no go!
I took off the 10 pounders and yelled at them some.
Added two 5 pounders.
Still frekin heavy.
but I managed 3 sets of 8..
not too shabby..
for a girl.
a fat girl.. I add..
k.. so
after a few more reps of stuff... I am totally dying.
I decide to walk my happy ass to the scale and see how much this damn bar weighs.
I struggle to get it on the scale on it's end.. might I add it's about 3 feet taller than me?
k.. ready?
it weighs 40 frekin pounds!
yup.. I benched 60 pounds!
I rock!!!
k..
Moving on to the mileage challenge...
I've slowly been adding my time and speed..
according to log your run I've jogged about 10.5 miles so far this week. I have until Wednesday to get that 4.5 miles.. I'm right on track me thinks...
I took the kidlets for a stroll yesterday.. Well.. they biked.. I jogged..
lemme tell ya.. jogging on the pavement is harder than the cushiony treadmill...
my calves are not happy with me..
I wanted to get out in the fresh air.. even if it was nipply...
I jogged from my house to the middle of the small city.. I just tracked it.. it was 2.08 miles each way..
4.16 miles of fun!
A bit of spring showing..
Teeter tottering is great for squats!
yup.. I jogged in the snow.. with no jacket :) I'm bad ass that way.
so.. I'm off to enter to win that Mytrak.. I neeeeeeed that thing!! lemme tell ya!

another challenge
I AM crazy, right?
So.. I am going to enter this challenge on fitblogger..
Every week for the next 12 weeks, you make a goal for yourself about being more active, eating better, whatever works for you. Each week, you can pick a new goal or keep working on the one from the week before. You know yourself best and what areas of your health need attention so you make your goals, not us. (However, we do have a handy 12 week weight training program that would work nicely ;))
You only need one goal and it can be whatever you like, except weight loss specifically. (If you’d like the full explanation as to why, please read that post here.)
You write a post about your progress and just for working towards those goals, you’ll be entered in to win an M2, lifestyle activity coach to help you achieve your goals! We’re giving away one, every week and one at the end of the challenge, that’s 13 M2’s in all!
Making your goal a S.M.A.R.T. one helps with accountability and Fitblogger has a lot of goal information and resources to check out if you need help.
That sounds doable, no?
It's on baby!
so.. I think I may have to do a new goal each week.. that a.d.d. n stuff..
this week will be to jog 15 miles.

I just haad to join in this one.
I feel left out if I don't include myself in everything! lol..
So this month, March, I am making my goal to run five miles a week. At least.
I am going to try to do a triathlon in May and need to train for that so I don't hurt myself, or others. ;)
